Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a famous French painter associated with the Post-Impressionism art movement. He is best known for his paintings and posters of the colorful people in Montmartre, particularly the prostitutes and performers at the Moulin Rouge cabaret. Famous Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec artworks include “The Laundress”, “Study of a Nude”, “The Artist’s Mother, the Countess Adèle de Toulouse Lautrec at Breakfast”, “Portrait of Vincent van Gogh”, “At the Moulin Rouge”, “The Englishman at the Moulin Rouge”, “In Bed”, “The Medical Inspection at the Rue des Moulins Brothel”, “Ambassadeurs – Aristide Bruant”, and “Jane Avril leaving the Moulin Rouge”.

Mini biography: Born Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa on the 24th of November 1864 in Albi, Tarn, France. His mother was Adèle Zoë Tapié de Celeyran and his father Alphonse Charles Comte de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa was an aristocrat. The artist died on the 9th of September, 1901 in Saint-André-du-Bois, France at the age of 36. Toulouse-Lautrec is buried at the Cimetière de Verdelais in Verdelais, France.
