Edward Hopper is a famous American painter, printmaker and watercolorist associated with the American Realism art movement. He is best known for his depictions of modern American life. Famous Edward Hopper artworks include “Nighthawks”, “Girl at Sewing Machine”, “House by the Railroad”, “Automat”, “Chop Suey”, “Office at Night”, “Room in New York”, “Night Windows” and “Early Sunday Morning”.

Mini biography: Born Edward Hopper on the 22nd of July, 1882 in Nyack, New York, United States of America. His mother was Elizabeth Griffiths Smith and his father Garret Henry Hopper was dry goods merchant. Hopper married the artist Josephine Nivison in 1924. The artist died on the 15th of May, 1967 in Manhattan, New York City, USA at the age of 84. Edward Hopper is buried alongside his wife at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Nyack, New York, United States.
