Constantin Brancusi Sculpture Quotes

Constantin Brancusi was a Romanian born French sculptor and photographer. He is best known for his modernist sculptures which were simplified to the point of abstraction. He produced sculptures, photographs, and works on paper. Famous Constantin Brancusi sculptures include “Portrait of Mademoiselle Pogany”, “The Kiss”, “Portrait of Nancy Cunard”, “Bird in Space”, “Princess X”, “Bust of a Boy”, “Blonde Negress I”, “Portrait of James Joyce, for Tales Told of Shem and Shaun”, “La Jeune fille sophistiquée”, “Sleeping Muse”, “The Endless Column”, and “The Prayer”.

Mini biography: Born Constantin Brâncuși on the 19th of February, 1876 in Hobița, Romanian United Principalities (modern day Romania). His mother was Maria Brâncuși and his father was Nicolae Brâncuși. Constantin Brancusi died on the 16th of March, 1957 in Paris, France. Brancusi was 81 years old when he passed away. He was buried in the Montparnasse Cemetery, Paris, France.
