Bob Marley was a famous Jamaican reggae singer. He is best known for bringing reggae music to the world with his charismatic performances and spiritual songwriting. He became a popular culture icon and is still just as famous today (among white and black people). Popular Bob Marley albums include “The Wailing Wailers”, “The Best of the Wailers”, “Catch a Fire”, “Natty Dread”, “Rastaman Vibration”, “Babylon by Bus”, “Survival”, “Uprising”, and “Confrontation”.

Mini biography: Born Robert Nesta Marley on the 6th of February, 1945 in Nine Mile, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. His mother was Cedella Malcolm and his father Norval Sinclair Marley was a plantation overseer. Marley married Alpharita Constantia Anderson (Rita Marley) in 1966 and they had four children (including two from Rita’s previous relationship): Sharon, Cedella, David (Ziggy), and Stephen. He also had multiple children with other women with a total of eleven. Children from other relationships include: Robert, Rohan, Karen, Stephanie, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian. The musician died from a skin cancer on the 11th of May, 1981 in Miami, Florida, United States at the age of 36.
