Andrew Wyeth was a famous American realist painter. He is best known for his realist works of rural scenes, usually with a figure, object, or animal in it. His unusual compositions tend to add to the understated drama of his work. Famous Andrew Wyeth paintings include “Christina’s World”, “Winter Fields”, “Pennsylvania Landscape”, “Sea Boots”, “Public Sale”, “Braids”, “Henry Teel”, “Evening at Kuerners”, and “Wind from the Sea”.

Mini biography: Born Andrew Newell Wyeth on the 12th of July, 1917 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, United States of America. His mother was Carolyn Bockius and his father N. C. Wyeth was a notable artist and illustrator. Wyeth married Betsy James in 1940 and they had two children together: Nicholas and James Wyeth. The artist died on the 16th of January, 2009 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, US at the age of 91. He was buried at the Hathorn Cemetery, Cushing, Maine, United States.
